It is this time of the month again. We’re bringing you a brand new game made on one single weekend. Although we might say that – and it is true that we built the majority of the game on one weekend – but the finishing and polishing parts of it took us almost a whole week after all. As last time we chose to use a theme brought to us by experimentalgameplay.com, which is Rotating for June 2012. Almost the whole friday night was used to discuss ideas for this game because there are a lot of things that are rotateable. We will cover our decision making and idea finding process more detailed in one of our next posts. But now with no further hold ups we present you our new game Clementine:
The Story of Clementine
Clementine is a little girl strolling through the woods as she stumbles upon a mysterious and delicious looking mushroom. The mushrooms temptation is too overwhelming so she licks the delicious looking thing. What happens next is quite obvious. Clementine transcends into a weird world where she has the instoppable urge to run. The ground below her opens up and she has to jump the gaps. Some parts of the ground get a strange color and she notices that she is suddenly able to filter her environment colorwise so she can pass through some of the colored obstacles. But be aware Clementine, don’t fall through the colored ground.
Highscores and Feedback
We managed to release the game as a web player this time as we do not have to use the microphone input like we did in Room Rage. We also put up a highscore system for you to compete with your friends which can be shown inside the game and also on our new Highscores page right here: Highscore Tables
But now enough text and description, have fun playing the game. Spread the link and let your friends compete against your high score. Please don’t hesitate to post a comment right down there and tell us what you think of the game. We benefit a lot from your feedback and this way we can make even better games.
Play the Game!
The basic controls are simple, once you get used to it:
Q: Change Color Wheel to Red
W: Change Color Wheel to Green
E: Change Color Wheel to Blue
Space: Jump (hit twice for a double jump)
M: Mute
Update on 14.01.2013: Fixed performance issues on notebooks with integrated graphics cards. Fixed highscore system so weekly/monthly scores are tracked and can be viewed.

highly addicting stuff you’ve got going on there ;) however somehow the unity web thing “freezes” every few games (doesn’t accept any keyboard inputs, sound is playing) and i have to reload the whole page – known problem?
nevermind, i think i just mixed up the controls… at least after restart everything work :)
yes, this has been reported elsewhere as well. glad you like it ;)
some combinations are just to hard, especially when she starts to move faster. I think some balancing would be good there.
the ‘bling’ sound really annoys me and there should be some sound
but I like the concept!
one more thing
you do not rly SEE if the blue thing is deactivated, you just know from the background…but since its a reaction game, you should really see it.
and if I manage a difficult part, I would like to get some extra points! otherwise it is frustrating
lg
